- The Department of Higher Education invited public institutions to submit proposals for one-time funding to create or expand high-demand education and training programs designed to target state and regional employer needs.
- Each proposal will meet a workforce need or substantially increase postsecondary education attainment of Missourians.
- This is a coordinated approach for recommending and funding workforce projects delivered by public colleges and universities.
- Final funding amounts announced in Governor Parson’s FY 2020 budget proposal include a recommendation for $16.3 million and 18 proposals. (See full list of proposals in the below handout.)
